How does the digital wallet work in BISP?
Benazir Income Support Program is a digital wallet, which means what is in your mobile is your account. A digital wallet is the name given to it, which is linked to a computerized credit card for beneficiaries. This system eliminates the need for beneficiaries to go to physical payment centers or settle, due to which most people lose their money due to delays, which makes most people fall victim to fraud and deductions. Therefore, the Government of Pakistan has decided to transfer the funds directly to the digital wallet account, and the women or individuals eligible for this program will have their payment amount transferred to their mobile account. Now they do not need to go to any center.

Benefits of a Digital Wallet Account
The advantage of the digital wallet account is that the BISP money will be transferred directly to the digital wallet of the beneficiaries. The new system aims to end the practice of illegal deductions through agents. This initiative promotes millions of unbanked women into the formal banking system, giving them direct control over their finances. The payment gateway reduces processing time and allows beneficiaries to access their funds at ATMs, HBL, or on their mobile accounts at their convenience. By linking the aid directly to a woman’s identity card. The digital wallet aims to empower women beneficiaries by giving them control over the agency and their household financial resources. Women who are unemployed and living in poverty do not lose their livelihood. Therefore, the digital wallet was launched so that their payment of Rs. 13,500 is transferred to their accounts, and the beneficiaries can access their money.
