CM Honhaar Undergraduate Scholarship on Merit-Based: The Chief Minister of Punjab Honar Scholarship Program 2025 is a major initiative of the Government of Punjab to support academically talented and deserving students. This scholarship provides a significant opportunity for students across Pakistan to pursue higher education without financial constraints. The program is managed by the Punjab Higher Education Commission. Aims to provide financial assistance to both newly enrolled and continuing students in public sector universities. And colleges, primarily through 100% tuition fee coverage.

Eligibility Criteria for CM Scholarship Program

Eligibility and Requirements To be considered for the CM Honhaar Scholarship 2025, applicants must meet a set of specific criteria. While the program is open to students from Punjab. It is also extended to students from other provinces such as Azad Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, Balochistan, and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Applicants must be domiciled in any district of Punjab. The applicant’s family income should be at least Rs. 300,000 per month. The applicant must be admitted in the third to eighth semester in the selected subjects in the designated universities or colleges. Students already admitted in the second to fifth year of MBBS and BDS programs are also eligible for this scholarship.

Domicile: You must be a domicile holder of Punjab student from another province admitted to a specific phase of the program.

Academic Merit: Academic performance is a key factor. The required minimum percentage or CGPA varies depending on the type of institution you are applying to:

Public Sector Medical/Dental Colleges: Minimum 60% in the annual examinations.

Enrollment Status: You must be a currently enrolled student in the chosen discipline in a designated public sector university or college. The program is generally for undergraduate students, and the different phases target different semesters. Phase 1 is for newly enrolled students in their first semester. while Phase II is for students in their third to eighth semester.

Financial Need: An affidavit stating that your family’s monthly income is less than Rs. 300000 is required.

No other scholarship: You must not be a recipient of any other need-based or merit-based scholarship from any government or private organization.

How to Apply: A Step-by-Step Guide. 

The entire application process for the CM Honnaar Scholarship 2025 is done online. Hard copies of documents are required. Here is a step-by-step guide to help you with the process:

Visit the Official Portal: Visit the official PHEC scholarship portal or the scholarship page of the specific university.

Registration: Create an account using your CNIC, email, and mobile number.

Application Form: Fill out the online application form with all the required personal, educational, and socio-economic details.

Upload Documents: Scan and upload clear copies of all the required documents. This is an important step, as incomplete or unclear documents can lead to rejection of your application. Required documents include:

  • Applicant’s CNIC or Form-B
  • Parent/Guardian’s CNIC
  • Intermediate/Matric Result Cards
  • University Admission Letter or Bonafide Certificate

Scholarship distribution

Under Phase 1, 30,000 scholarships were given to meritorious students. Talented students enrolled in the first semester of first-year medical students in all public sector universities, graduate colleges, selected federal charter private universities, and the CM Scholarship Program. As per Phase 2, 14 students from the third to eighth semesters of MBBS and BDS programs in public sector universities. We were given 20,000 scholarships from medical detail colleges. And second to fifth year of MBBS and BDS programs, while in the third phase, 5,000 scholarships were given to students from other provinces.

Project Overview

The sponsoring agency for Honar Scholarships is the Higher Education Department, while the executing agency is the Punjab Higher Education Commission. The total approved cost of the program is Rs. 5,868.05 million. The initial allocation was Rs. 2,500.00 million. which was later revised to Rs. 5,868.05 million. The full amount has been released by the Finance Department, and Rs. 2,807.55 million has been utilized so far.
