Complete Information on CM Minority Card: In Pakistan’s largest province of Punjab, Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif took a historic step at the beginning of 2025 by launching the “CM Punjab Minority Card” scheme for minority communities. The scheme aims to provide financial assistance to non-Muslim communities in the province, such as Christians, Hindus, Sikhs, and other minority groups, to improve their quality of life.
Objective of the Minority Card Scheme
The primary objective of this scheme is to provide financial assistance to minority communities, enabling them to lead a dignified and independent life. Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz said while launching the scheme that “We are establishing a Punjab where no one faces fear, intimidation or discrimination.”
Financial Assistance Details
Under this scheme, each deserving family will be provided with financial assistance every three months. Initially, 50,000 families will benefit from this scheme, which will be expanded to 75,000 families later.
Eligibility criteria for obtaining a minority card
To obtain a minority card, you must meet the following criteria:
- The applicant must have a computerized national identity card and a mobile number
- The applicant must be the head of the family and a resident of the province of Punjab
- The PMT score should be 45 or less
- For the PMT score, contact the nearest service center. The list is available on the website
- For a minority card, the source of the PMT score is necessary; however, complete the online registration of the minority card immediately
- The applicant must not be receiving assistance from any other program, such as BISP.
- Ensure that the persons with the required qualifications are within the correct qualifications
