Digital Youth Hub Offers Rs 200b Interest-Free Loans

In a significant move to empower Pakistan’s youth, Chairman of the Prime Minister’s Youth Program, Rana Mashhood Ahmed Khan, announced the launch of the Digital Youth Hub, a platform aimed at equipping young people with the tools, resources, and opportunities they need to thrive in the modern world. Highlighting that the Digital Youth Hub offers Rs 200b Interest-Free Loans to support youth entrepreneurship, the announcement was made during the Digital Youth Hub Seminar held at the Children’s Hospital Lahore. Rana Mashhood emphasized the government’s commitment to youth development, aligning with Prime Minister Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif’s vision for a stronger and future-ready Pakistan.

Digital Youth Hub: Transforming Potential into Progress

Rana Mashhood highlighted that Pakistan’s youth have immense talent and potential. All they need is the right direction, opportunities, and support to succeed. The Digital Youth Hub is designed to provide exactly that—an integrated digital platform offering various services under one umbrella.

He especially encouraged female students to register on the portal and take advantage of the government’s support. According to him, empowering women and girls is equally important for national progress.

Financial Empowerment Through Interest-Free Loans

A core feature of the initiative is the provision of interest-free business loans worth Rs. 200 billion to the youth. These loans are meant to support young entrepreneurs in starting their own businesses and becoming financially independent.

By investing in youth-led businesses, the government aims to reduce unemployment and create a culture of entrepreneurship that contributes to the national economy.

Scholarships for Aspiring Students

To ensure that no student is deprived of higher education due to financial constraints, the Digital Youth Hub will facilitate local and international scholarships. These scholarships are open to students who wish to pursue higher education but lack the financial means to do so.

This initiative is a step towards creating equal educational opportunities for all youth across the country.

Skill Development Through Online Courses and Certifications

Another important feature of the Digital Youth Hub is access to world-class online courses and certification programs. These programs are designed to train young people in modern, high-demand skills such as:

  • Digital marketing
  • Freelancing
  • Programming
  • Artificial intelligence
  • E-commerce and more

By acquiring these skills, Pakistani youth can confidently enter the global digital economy and compete internationally.

Additionally, students will have access to internships and employment opportunities both within Pakistan and abroad. This feature aims to bridge the gap between education and employment, ensuring that youth can transition smoothly into the workforce.
