سرکاری خبر رساں ایجنسی ’اے پی پی‘ کی رپورٹ کے مطابق وفاقی وزیر توانائی اویس لغاری نے لیسکو ہیڈکوارٹر لاہور میں اجلاس سے خطاب کرتے ہوئےکہا ہے کہ سیلاب سے متاثرہ علاقوں میں بجلی صارفین کو خصوصی ریلیف فراہم کیا جائے گا، متاثرین کے بجلی کے بلوں کی تاریخ میں توسیع بھی دی جائےگی۔
وفاقی وزیر نے کہا کہ اگر حکومت سیلاب متاثرین کے بجلی بلز کے لیے کسی مدد کا اعلان کر ے گی تو ڈسکوز بل معاف کر سکیں گی۔
انہوں نے مزید کہا کہ سیلابی پانی کے باعث بجلی بحالی کا عمل متاثر ہے، پانی کی سطح کم ہوتے ہی بجلی کی بحالی کا عمل مکمل کر لیا جائے گا۔
اویس لغاری کا کہنا تھا کہ پاکستان میں 3 کروڑ 30 لاکھ میں سے ایک کروڑ 80 لاکھ صارفین 70 فیصد ڈسکائونٹ پر بجلی لے رہے ہیں۔
وزیرتوانائی نے بتایا کہ لیسکو ملازمین نے ایک دن کی تنخواہ وزیر اعظم کے سیلاب فنڈ میں جمع کروا دی ہے، ملازمین اور صارفین کی سیفٹی پر سمجھوتہ نہیں کیا جائے گا۔
وفاقی وزیر نے مزید کہا کہ لوگ سولر پینل لگا کر خود کو 200 یونٹ سے نیچے لے کرگئے جس سے بجلی کی قیمت سستی ہوئی ہے اور بلوں میں فرق آیا ہے۔
حکومت کے موثر اقدامات کی بدولت بجلی کے نرخوں میں واضح کمی ہوئی، جو لوگ یہ تبدیلی محسوس نہیں کر رہے اُن کی آنکھوں پر پٹی بندھی ہے۔
