In a major development, the Ministry of Industries and Production has completed the first phase of the digital lottery (e-balloting) for the scheme. Massive Public Response to the E-Bike Scheme
The scheme received an overwhelming response from the public, with over 269,000 applications submitted from all corners of Pakistan. This highlights the growing interest among citizens in electric vehicles (EVs), especially as fuel prices continue to rise and environmental awareness increases.
Out of these applications, 41,000 lucky individuals were declared successful in the first phase of the e-balloting. These winners are now eligible to receive electric bikes and rickshaws at heavily subsidized rates, thanks to the government’s financial support.

پاکستان کی حکومت نے الیکٹرک وہیکل کی جانب ایک بڑا قدم اٹھاتے ہوئے ای-بائیک اسکیم 2025 کا آغاز کیا ہے، جس کا مقصد کم آمدنی والے شہریوں کو ماحول دوست اور سستی سفری سہولیات فراہم کرنا ہے۔ وزارتِ صنعت و پیداوار کے مطابق اس اسکیم کے پہلے مرحلے کی قرعہ اندازی مکمل ہو چکی ہے، جس میں پورے ملک سے دو لاکھ انہتر ہزار سے زائد درخواستیں موصول ہوئیں۔
اس قرعہ اندازی کے نتیجے میں 41 ہزار خوش نصیب درخواست دہندگان کو کامیاب قرار دیا گیا ہے، جو اب حکومت کی جانب سے دی گئی سبسڈی کے تحت ای-بائیکس یا ای-رکشے حاصل کر سکیں گے۔ وزارت کے ترجمان کا کہنا ہے کہ یہ قرعہ اندازی ایک محفوظ اور شفاف ڈیجیٹل نظام کے تحت کی گئی، تاکہ میرٹ کی بنیاد پر انتخاب ممکن ہو سکے۔
براہ راست سبسڈی
اس اسکیم کے تحت موٹر سائیکل کے خواہشمند افراد کو پچاس ہزار روپے بینک سے قرض لینا ہوگا جبکہ اسی ہزار روپے وہ خود ادا کریں گے۔ دوسری جانب، ای-رکشوں کے لیے حکومت دو لاکھ سے چار لاکھ روپے تک کی براہ راست سبسڈی فراہم کرے گی. جس سے ان کی قیمت عام شہری کی پہنچ میں آ جائے گی۔
حکومت نے اس منصوبے کے لیے جون 2025 تک نو ارب روپے کی سبسڈی مختص کی ہے. جو کہ ملک میں الیکٹرک وہیکلز کو فروغ دینے. اور ایندھن کی بچت کو یقینی بنانے کے لیے ایک بڑا قدم ہے۔ اس اسکیم کا بنیادی ہدف کم آمدنی والے افراد کو خود کفیل بنانا. اور ان کے لیے روزگار کے مواقع پیدا کرنا ہے۔ خاص طور پر وہ افراد جو ڈلیوری سروسز، رکشہ چلانے یا یومیہ مزدوری سے وابستہ ہیں. اس اسکیم سے براہِ راست مستفید ہوں گے۔

Breakdown of Financial Assistance and Subsidies
The government has designed the financial structure of the scheme to make e-bikes and e-rickshaws affordable even for low-income citizens. Here’s how the cost-sharing model works:
For Electric Motorcycles:
- Rs. 50,000 will be financed through partner banks.
- Rs. 80,000 will be paid by the user as their share.
For Electric Rickshaws:
- The government will provide a direct subsidy of Rs. 200,000 to Rs. 400,000 per unit, depending on the model and category.
Overall, the government has allocated a subsidy package worth Rs. 9 billion for the E-Bike Scheme. This subsidy will remain active until June, and it is expected to significantly reduce the financial burden on the buyers.
