پرووینشیل ڈیزاسٹر مینجمنٹ اتھارٹی (پی ڈی ایم اے) پنجاب نے مون سون بارشوں کے 11ویں اسپیل کا الرٹ جاری کر دیا۔
پی ڈی ایم اے الرٹ کے مطابق 16 سے 19 ستمبر 2025 تک دریاؤں کے بالائی علاقوں میں بارشوں کی پیشگوئی ہے۔ اتھارٹی نے صوبے بھر کے کمشنرز اور ڈپٹی کمشنرز کو الرٹ رہنے کی ہدایات جاری کر دیں۔
ڈی جی پی ڈی ایم اے عرفان علی کاٹھیا نے اپنے بیان میں کہا کہ مون سون بارشوں سے ندی نالے میں طغیانی کا خدشہ ہے، وزیر اعلیٰ پنجاب مریم نواز کی ہدایات کے پیش نظر افسران الرٹ ہیں۔
عرفان علی کاٹھیا نے کہا کہ محکمہ صحت، آبپاشی تعمیر و مواصلات لوکل گورنمنٹ اور لایئو سٹاک کو الرٹ جاری کر دیا گیا، شہریوں سے بھی درخواست ہے کہ وہ خراب موسم میں احتیاطی تدابیر اختیار کریں۔
ڈی جی پی ڈی ایم اے کا کہنا تھا کہ دریاؤں کے اطراف اکٹھے ہونے اور سیر و تفریح سے گریز کریں، شہری آندھی اور طوفان میں محفوظ مقامات پر رہیں اور غیر ضروری سفر سے گریز کریں، ایمرجنسی صورتحال میں پی ڈی ایم اے ہیلپ لائن 1129 پر رابطہ کریں۔
پنجاب کے 28 اضلاع سپر فلڈ کی لپیٹ میں
گزشتہ روز پی ڈی ایم اے پنجاب نے بتایا تھا کہ سپر فلڈ نے پنجاب کے 28 اضلاع کو لپیٹ میں لے لیا۔
ڈی جی پی ڈی ایم اے عرفان علی کاٹھیا نے بہاولپور میں میڈیا کو بریفنگ دیتے ہوئے بتایا تھا کہ دریائے چناب اور راوی کے ریلوں نے ملتان کو متاثر کیا تاہم جلالپور پیروالا اور شجاع آباد کو کوئی خطرہ نہیں، جلالپور پیروالا میں بڑے پیمانے پر انخلا کرنا پڑا۔
عرفان علی کاٹھیا نے بتایا تھا کہ گڈو بیراج پر پانی تیزی سے بڑھ رہا ہے، اس سے ساڑھے 7 لاکھ کیوسک پانی سندھ میں داخل ہوگا، صوبے کے 4744 مواضع زیر آب آ چکے ہیں۔
انہوں نے بتایا تھا کہ سیلاب سے 45 لاکھ سے زائد افراد متاثر ہوئے، 25 لاکھ سے زائد افراد کو محفوظ مقامات پر منتقل کیا گیا، 20 لاکھ سے زائد جانوروں کا بھی انخلا کیا گیا، پنجاب میں سیلاب سے 101 اموات جبکہ 9 زخمی ہوئے۔
