With a deep sense of patriotism and a passion for public service, more than 143,000 citizens have stepped forward to join the Punjab Civil Defense Resilience Corps as volunteers. This growing force of dedicated individuals is now supported by a new digital platform aimed at raising awareness and expanding outreach with the launch of the official YouTube channel of the Punjab Civil Defense Resilience Corps.

A Strong Volunteer Response

The initiative has seen a remarkable response from people across the province. According to official data, 85,910 men and 57,078 women have registered as Civil Defense volunteers. At the event, Khawaja Salman Rafique praised the work of civil defense volunteers and highlighted their contribution during difficult times such as floods, smog, and other emergencies. He emphasized that volunteers are always ready to serve the country in times of need.

Minister for Agriculture Syed Ashiq Hussain Kirmani expressed the importance of using digital platforms for training and communication. He said that online media is an effective way to deliver accurate and immediate information to citizens.

Dr. Ahmed Javed Qazi, Secretary Home Punjab, called the Civil Defense Resilience Corps “a step toward a safe, informed, and responsible Punjab.” He emphasized the need for continuous public education and volunteer engagement through digital tools.
